RECENTLY ADDED The Pittsburgh Symphony 2011 European Festivals Tour View Photos Pittsburgh Symphony 2010 European Tour See all photos Chautauqua Institution Pictures from QED 89.3's annual visits to Chatuauqua. QED began these trips as a bonus for QED members when "A Prairie Home Companion" broadcast live from the Chautauqua Amphitheater in 1994 & 1995. Beginning in 1996, QED has broadcast a live Chautauqua Symphony concert each summer. In 1998, Buffalo's WNED began offering tickets to its members and co-hosting the concert broadcast with QED's lifelong Chautuaquan, Jim Cunningham. The Institution soon formalized this event as its annual Public Radio Day.
